What happens when the life you’ve built no longer feels like yours?
In this episode, we sit down with Dan and Elyse from the YouTube Channel Quittin and Trippin—who walked away from routine, security, and everything that was expected of them… to follow something quieter, but far more honest.
Their version of freedom didn’t come wrapped in ease. It came with tight spaces, hard conversations, financial uncertainty, and the reality of living on the road with nowhere to retreat when things got tough. But within that discomfort, they found something most of us are still searching for—time that feels slower, connection that feels deeper, and a life that actually reflects what matters.
This isn’t a romanticised version of van life.
It’s the truth of it.
We talk about what it means to redefine success, to question the life you’ve been told to want, and to sit with the discomfort of choosing differently. Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t making the leap… it’s giving yourself permission to want something else in the first place.
If you’ve ever felt the quiet pull for more—more presence, more meaning, more you—this conversation might just meet you there.
Because the real question isn’t whether you can live differently…
It’s whether you’ll let yourself.

Dan

Bundy
Daniel and Elyse are travelling Australia full-time in their caravan, alongside their dogs Bundy and Bella—chasing a slower, more intentional way of living, one stop at a time.
From free camps under open skies to small-town pubs, hidden gems, and the kind of places you only find when you take the long way around, they share the real side of life on the road. Not just the highlights—but the in-between moments, the challenges, and the unexpected beauty that comes with choosing a different path.
Their content is grounded, honest, and unmistakably Australian—inviting you to explore beyond the tourist map and reconnect with what travel is really about: freedom, community, and the stories waiting just off the highway.
Whether you’re dreaming of hitting the road or simply want to see more of Australia through a genuine lens, Quttin’ and Trippin’ offers a front seat to the journey. 🚐🐾
In Episode 19 of Quittin’ & Trippin’, Daniel and Elyse’s journey takes an unexpected turn. After leaving the charm of Hahndorf behind, they head into Adelaide—settling first at Adelaide Showground Caravan Park before moving to the stunning Brighton Beachfront Caravan Park.
And then… Daniel flies out 😅
Called back to Sydney for his cousin’s wedding at Fitzroy Inn in Mittagong, Daniel’s journey briefly diverges—taking him through Fitzroy Falls and into Bowral’s Bradman Museum, while Elyse holds down life on the road solo in South Australia.
But the story doesn’t pause.
With an algae bloom keeping them (and the dogs) out of the ocean, Elyse adapts—finding new ways to keep Bundy and Bella moving, until Daniel returns and they discover Gumhaven K9 Aqua Play, a dog-friendly haven that turns out to be exactly what they needed.
Together again, they continue exploring—visiting the iconic Giant Rocking Horse and the National Motor Museum, diving into a little piece of classic Holden history along the way.
This episode is a reminder that travel doesn’t always unfold as planned. Sometimes it splits, shifts, and asks you to adjust—but that’s often where the real stories are found.
A mix of road life, distance, reconnection, and the small moments in between… this one carries a bit of everything.
In Episode 18 of Quittin’ & Trippin’, Daniel and Elyse begin their journey with a beachfront free camp at Granites Car Park—waking up right on the water, in one of those simple, beautiful moments that remind you how little you actually need.
From there, the road leads them to Minigie, where they settle into Lake Albert Caravan Park and wander through the local museum across the road—small, quiet, and full of stories that sit just beneath the surface.
But it’s Hahndorf where things shift.
Tucked into the Adelaide Hills, Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement feels like stepping into another world. The streets hum with history, culture, and just enough novelty to make you forget where you are for a moment.
So, naturally… they lean into it.
A spontaneous pub crawl takes them through some of Hahndorf’s most iconic spots—The German Arms, Hahndorf Inn, The Wild Pony, and The Old Mill Hotel—sampling German beers and soaking up the atmosphere that makes this town what it is.
There’s a softness to the rest of the journey.
A visit to the Puppy Palace (because sometimes joy is that simple), followed by lunch at The German Spoon and strawberry picking at Beerenberg Farm—one of those places that feels stitched into the fabric of the region.
Before moving on, they take Bundy and Bella through the Laratinga Wetlands in Mount Barker—a quiet, wildlife-filled pocket that offers a different kind of stillness.
Basing themselves at Discovery Parks – Hahndorf, this leg of the trip becomes less about ticking destinations off a list… and more about experiencing a place properly.
This episode is a reminder that travel isn’t always about how far you go—
sometimes it’s about how deeply you let yourself arrive.
In Episode 17 of Quittin’ & Trippin’, Daniel and Elyse step well outside what feels familiar—choosing to stay at a naturist resort for the very first time.
Set on a vast stretch of coastline in Nora Creina, South Australia, Sunland Naturist Retreat offers something entirely different to anything they’ve experienced before. Wide open space, ocean at the doorstep, and an environment that quietly challenges the way we think about comfort, vulnerability, and freedom.
It’s not just about the setting.
It’s about what happens when you remove the layers—literally and figuratively.
Alongside their stay, they explore the Limestone Coast, taking day trips through Robe, Beachport, and Kingston SE—coastal towns that bring a familiar rhythm back into a week that otherwise feels anything but ordinary.
In this episode, they share the reality of the experience—how it works, what surprised them, what pushed them, and whether it’s something others might actually consider.
Because curiosity often sits just on the edge of discomfort…
and sometimes, that’s exactly where the most interesting stories begin.
